THE BRIEF
To launch the horror drama Sell Your Haunted House. The story: An exorcist gets rid of evil spirits from real estate properties and then sells them. A swindler who often uses ghosts in his schemes to make money. They work together to disclose a secret about the death of Jang Na-Ra's mother, who died 20 years ago.
Our challenge? Covid-19 was going on and we spent most of our time online. It made it difficult to do on-ground activations.
How do you Sell a Haunted House during a pandemic?
THE IDEA
We created a hybrid digital-and-physical experiential activation - the first of its kind by an OTT platform in Singapore – a real haunted house with live participants, happening in real time.
Facebook Live Stream
We went to social media to rally for 3 groups of participants - 2 fans, 2 from SGAG and 2 from AsiaOne. We set up cameras in a secret location and made participants solve clues in our 4 secret room to find the password to unlock the iPad. The entire event was streamed live on Facebook, so fans can experience the Haunted House safely from their screens.





How did our fans react?

The Results
- Over 19,000 total lifetime video views, a 955% increase from 2020's live event
- For the first time ever, a horror show surpassed a romance drama on Viu
- Over 1,500,000 views since its premiere, no.1 title watched for 6 consecutive weeks during the show's 12 week run
- More than 200% increase in Viu Premium sign ups
